Dr. Daniel Shephard
Dr. Daniel Shephard is Daniel Shephard is an applied social science researcher with over a decade of experience in applied research within the fields of applied behavioral science, development, education, and humanitarian work. He was an inaugural member of the first applied behavioral science unit in the United States–the White House Social and Behavioral Sciences Team–and has worked as expert advisor on applied behavioral sciences projects for the OECD and various other organizations. He has completed projects in 30 countries and has published leading peer reviewed journals including Educational Research, Compare, the International Journal of Educational Development, Children and Youth Services Review, and Behavioral Science and Policy. Daniel completed his PhD and MPhil in Comparative and International Education from Columbia University with a specialization in Sociology and Education in Emergencies and he holds a MSc in Evidence Based Social Intervention from the University of Oxford.
