In Guatemala, parents of infants aged 8 to 14 weeks who were scheduled to receive a series of primary vaccines, were more likely to do so when they received an SMS reminder one week prior to their 2nd and 3rd visit.

Impact:

Both control and treatment groups had high rates of vaccine and visit completion, with a non-statistically significant higher percentage of children in the intervention completing both visit 2 (95.0% vs. 90.1%) and visit 3 (84.4% vs. 80.7%).
