Consumer Citizen Relief Platform (CCRP)

Facing the aftermath of Beirut’s August 4th devastating explosion which has left thousands of residents homeless and neighborhoods completely ravaged, Nudge Lebanon felt compelled to help contribute to the city’s massive humanitarian relief efforts despite the little experience it has in relief efforts, by launching the Consumer Citizen Relief Platform (CCRP). Over the course of 4 months, our team worked hard to match the requests of families in need with donations provided by NGOs, initiatives and generous donors before drawing our initiative to a close on December 4th, 2020.

The CCRP journey has been challenging, but we are grateful that we were able to personally meet and connect with a lot of households affected by the blast across different regions in Beirut. We heard their struggles and worked very hard on trying to fulfill their essential needs. We are thankful to have collaborated with supportive NGOs, initiatives and donors who have helped us accomplish our mission and alleviate some of the burdens of those families.

The feedback we got was overwhelmingly positive and we are certain that our partners will continue this journey and help as many families as they can.

As part of our initiative, we are proud to have supplied food, cleaning and other essential supplies to over 310 households across several Beirut neighborhoods including Achrafieh, Karantina, Mar Mkhael, Burj Hamoud, Basta, and many others. Our collaborations with several NGOs such as Nusaned, Oath Group, Iftar in a Box, Dar el Amal, Al Makan, Muslims World League and other were essential in helping us make this possible.

As we transition back to our core focus on the applications of behavioral economics and experimentation, we conclude our mission, and remain hopeful that our country will prosper and find its strength once again, under the same humanitarian and cooperative spirit that brought all of us together in our country’s darkest time.
